Ms Manpreet Kaur
Individual therapy sessions (online)
Hello and welcome. I’m Manpreet Kaur, a counseling psychologist and psychotherapist based in India, providing a safe online space for individuals around the world.
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and have qualified for the prestigious UGC-NET national qualifications for teaching and research. To ensure you receive the safest and highest quality of care, I run my independent private practice under the guidance of a senior, trauma-informed supervisor. Before diving fully into psychology, I earned a Master’s degree in Religious Studies (Sikh Studies) and studied literature. This unique background taught me to look at the world through an incredibly broad, compassionate lens. It helps me deeply respect and understand people from all kinds of cultural, spiritual, and diverse backgrounds.
My journey into mental health care wasn’t built just on textbooks, but on a deep fascination with the human story. I believe that therapy is one of the bravest investments you can make in yourself, and my role is to walk alongside you as you navigate the messy, complex, and beautiful parts of being human.
Whether you are feeling stuck, healing from old hurts, or trying to figure out who you are outside of everyone else's expectations, I am here to help you find your footing. I work exclusively with adults (18 and older), including university students and working professionals. I don't believe you can box a person into just one type of therapy. Instead, I listen to your unique needs and bring together a few different gentle ways of working:Looking Deeper: We will gently look at how your past experiences, childhood, and relationship patterns might be influencing how you feel and act today.Exploring Meaning: We will hold space for the big life questions—navigating identity crises, coping with grief, or finding a sense of purpose when life feels empty.Practical Everyday Tools: We will work on simple, everyday techniques like mindfulness to help you calm your mind, handle intense stress, and feel more connected to your body.
When I am not in the therapist’s chair, you can usually find me immersed in creativity and quiet comfort. I am an avid reader, a music lover who holds a senior diploma in Hindustani classical vocal music, and I love spending my free time painting and sketching. I believe that art, music, and stories are powerful ways we heal, express ourselves, and find peace.
I practice from an integrative therapeutic framework, primarily drawing upon psychodynamic and existential lenses while seamlessly weaving in trauma-informed care and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am dedicated to working with adults (aged 18 and above), helping them navigate deep-seated historical trauma, interpersonal conflicts, self-esteem challenges, and meaning-based or existential concerns. My goal is to co-create a safe, reflective space that honors your unique narrative and fosters long-term, post-traumatic growth. (1) Integrative Psychotherapy: Tailoring therapy to the unique needs of the individual by blending evidence-based techniques with depth-oriented exploration. (2) Psychodynamic & Existential Therapy: Exploring the unconscious roots of current behaviors, relationship patterns, and addressing fundamental questions of meaning, purpose, and identity. (3) Trauma-Informed & Somatic Work: Providing a safe space for processing complex and historical trauma by recognizing how deeply past experiences are held in both the mind and body. (3) Process-Oriented & Grief Counselling: Supporting individuals through complex emotional landscapes, life transitions, and the profound journey of grief and loss. (4) Mindfulness & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Equipping clients with practical, grounding toolkits for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and building everyday resilience.
